Such as: Panasonic 1123, 1124, 1180, 2180, etc.
Problem: Text difficult to read: Too light,
lines running through it, or blank gaps.
Diagnosis 1: Print cartridge dirty or worn out.
Solution: Remove print cartridge and inspect it.
If it looks worn, toss it and replace it.
If it is very wavy or rippled, it may not print consistently.
Replace it.
Diagnosis 2: Print cartridge gap control set
to allow too much space between paper and print cartridge.
Solution: Check to see if your printer has a gap control
switch on the top, usually to the left side.
Adjust it and then test the quality of the printing.
If it is still lousy, you probably need to replace the print cartridge.
Problem: Paper jam.
Solution: Carefully remove paper from printer,
working slowly and carefully.
Check for any scraps left in the printer.
Try and determine where the paper jammed,
and inspect that area extra carefully for debris or paper scraps.
Preventive Maintenance: Clean out printer from time to time.
Obtain a canister of compressed air, either from the office
or from Maintenance; this works very well for cleaning out this
type of printer.
