CLASS SIZE REDUCTION REPORT TO PARENTS/PARENTS

Cook County School District 104 has used Title II funds to reduce class size in our middle school classes. The district has again applied for these funds for this purpose.

The district was able to reduce class size through the use of Title II funds by utilizing funding to hire 1 additional middle school teacher. This has enabled us to keep our middle school classrooms in the area of about 25 to 28 students per classroom. These class size reductions have resulted in a better instructional environment where teachers may focus more specifically on individual, instructional skill development.
