Do you know someone who has graduated from School District 104 and has done amazing things within their profession and the community? Nominate them for School District 104's Wall of Fame! 🤩 Each year the Wall of Fame Committee will choose up to 5 recipients for the School District 104 Wall of Fame. Nominees for the 2024-2025 Wall of Fame must be graduates of HMS, Graves Junior High, or School District 104 before 2017. You can fill out an electronic form or send in a paper form. Students at Wharton are gearing up for their fanga performance tomorrow! Students will play drums, marimbas, and dance/ sing the fanga along with their music instructors. Fanga is a tradition that includes lyrics in Yoruba, a West African language, that call to welcome visitors in peace and hospitality Yoruba lyrics: Fanga ah lafiya, ashé ashé (x4) Ashé ashé ashé ashé (x4) Verse 2 Ka wo ile ka wo, ashé ashé (4) Ashé ashé ashé ashé (x4) Translation: We welcome you with all our hearts The sky above welcomes you The earth, where we have come from, welcomes you And when it is time for you to leave we will bid you farewell.
