NJHS is proud to recognize and celebrate the brave Veterans connected to our SD104 community — including family members of our current students and staff, as well as SD104 alumni who have served our country.
On Saturday, Sept. 27, SD104 staff spent the day at the Smart Museum exploring how art can bring classroom learning to life! Educators discovered new strategies for integrating the arts into their curriculum, drawing inspiration from the museum’s exhibitions and engaging in close-looking exercises with pieces from the Smart’s permanent collection. ✨📚
SD104 teachers dove into a hands-on workshop at the Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center, exploring pond ecosystems with dip nets to discover aquatic invertebrates, amphibians, and fish. 🐸🐟 Educators enjoyed time in nature while learning about food chains, water quality, and biodiversity in our beautiful forest preserves! 🍃✨
