The SD104 Nursing Team had a great day of learning and collaboration at the Lewis University Nursing Simulation Lab! Led by Dr. Dena Hinkle, DNP, APRN, IL PEL-SN, NCSN, Illinois Director to the National Association of School Nurses, the team explored new strategies to strengthen school health services and practiced hands-on clinical skills — from G-tube and trach care to emergency response.

🎨 From Objects to Voices: Exploring Power and Story Through Art 🖼️
On Saturday, Sept. 27, SD104 staff spent the day at the Smart Museum exploring how art can bring classroom learning to life! Educators discovered new strategies for integrating the arts into their curriculum, drawing inspiration from the museum’s exhibitions and engaging in close-looking exercises with pieces from the Smart’s permanent collection. ✨📚
