“Hispanic Heritage Month takes place September 15 to October 15 every year as a time to recognize and celebrate the many contributions, diverse cultures, and extensive histories of the American Latino community.
The day of September 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September 18, respectively."
HMS 7th graders were outside discovering biotic and abiotic factors yesterday in different ecosystems.
Dear School District 104 Families –
It has been brought to our attention that some Seesaw accounts have a message posted with a vulgar picture attached. The message is not coming from the District or teachers and it has been blocked for staff and students. The Technology department is investigating where the picture originated from. Seesaw accounts are currently down, and principals will update once they are up and running again. We will share information once we know more.

Se nos ha informado que algunas cuentas de Seesaw tienen un mensaje publicado con una imagen vulgar adjunta. El mensaje no proviene del Distrito ni de los maestros y ha sido bloqueado para el personal y los estudiantes. El departamento de Tecnología está investigando de dónde se originó la imagen. Las cuentas de Seesaw están actualmente inactivas y los directores se actualizarán una vez que estén en funcionamiento nuevamente. Compartiremos más información una vez que sepamos más.
