For Earth Day, kindergarten students at Walsh Elementary helped plant a tree on the playground. The tree was donated by Prairie Materials. The students are excited to see how big the tree grows throughout their years at Walsh! Graves students wearing their grade levels color on Sd104's Autism Awareness Day! ¡Estudiantes de Graves vistiendo el color de su nivel de grado en el Día de Concientización sobre el Autismo!

Como actividad culminante en la Unidad de Alfabetización Bilingüe de Kinder, "El cambio y el movimiento: empujar y jalar", la clase de Kinder de la Sra. García en la escuela de lenguaje dual Graves tuvo la oportunidad de comprender la relación entre la fuerza de un objeto mientras exploraban y creaban sus propias rampas para automóviles. As a culminating activity in Kindergarten’s Biliteracy Unit, “Change and Movement: Push and Pull” Mrs. Garcia’s Kindergarten class at Graves Dual Language School got an opportunity to understand the relationship between the force of an object as they explored and created their own car ramps.

5th grade is wearing blue today for SD104's Autism Awareness Day

The Walker Kindergarten students went on a walking field trip to the Bedford Park Library yesterday. The students got a tour of the library, learned about all the cool things to do at the library, had story time and completed a fun craft. A big thank you to our librarians! Los estudiantes de Walker Kindergarten fueron ayer a una excursión a pie a la biblioteca de Bedford Park. Los estudiantes hicieron un recorrido por la biblioteca, aprendieron sobre todas las cosas geniales que se pueden hacer en la biblioteca, tuvieron tiempo de cuentos y completaron una manualidad divertida. ¡Muchas gracias a nuestros bibliotecarios!

After a week of planning, writing a rough draft, revising, editing and publishing all about plants and their adaptations, 1st Graders in Mrs. Miranda's class at Graves Dual Language School got an opportunity to celebrate their final products through an "Authors Chair" celebration. Después de una semana de planificación, redacción de un borrador, revisión, edición y publicación de todo sobre las plantas y sus adaptaciones, los alumnos de primer grado de la clase de la Sra. The kindergartners at Walker School have been learning about community helpers. Today Officer Dominguez stopped by to talk to the students about his job as a police officer and the tools needed for his job. A big thank you to Officer Dominguez!
