Students in Ms. Puhr and Ms. Foltz's class at HMS engaged with primary artifacts from the allied forces in World War II. What do you think these were each used for?

Thank you to all the parents and guardians who came out to Wharton's Poetry Cafe on Friday! We hope you had fun making a craft with your student! K-2nd graders read the book, Rhyming Dust Bunnies. Students then made their own dust bunny puppet and played Rhyming Dust Bunny Card Game. 3rd-5th graders wrote a bio poem and created a Watercolor Resist with crayons . This was an abstract painting and kids included a black and white photo of themselves in a pose that represents their personalities.

April 23rd is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day. Thank you to all our District 104 bus drivers for getting our students safely to and from school! We appreciate you!

For Earth Day, kindergarten students at Walsh Elementary helped plant a tree on the playground. The tree was donated by the Bridgeview Chamber of Commerce. The students are excited to see how big the tree grows throughout their years at Walsh! Para el Día de la Tierra, los estudiantes de jardín de infantes de la escuela primaria Walsh ayudaron a plantar un árbol en el patio de recreo. El árbol fue donado por la Cámara de Comercio de Bridgeview. ¡Los estudiantes están emocionados de ver qué tan grande crece el árbol a lo largo de sus años en Walsh!
