Congratulations to School Resource Officer (SRO) Armando Dominguez! He has been selected as the 2024 winner of the Floyd Ledbetter National School Resource Officer of the Year Award. He has been selected from the many nominations received from across the country by the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) as their pick for this honor.
Officer Dominguez has been the school resource officer for Summit School District 104 for 6 years. A great asset to our school district, he provides security and assistance to both our schools and students and is an individual that all the students look up to.
Whether its during the school day or an after school event you will always see Officer Dominguez greeting parents and students alike with a giant smile, a high five, or a hug. Join us in congratulating Officer Dominguez on this incredible accomplishment.
SRO Dominguez will be presented his award from NASRO at the National School Safety Conference in July.

Congratulations to all of the HMS students who were inducted into NJHS last night and to the NJHS 8th graders who received their cord for graduation.
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship and helps middle-level students develop the knowledge and skills to become well-rounded student leaders in their school, community, and beyond.
We cannot wait to see what the future holds for these students!
4th Grade teachers at Graves took their students outside to have their Morning Meeting. Students had a great time as they worked on the group activity component, "Rock, Paper, Scissors"

In Mrs. Gomez 6th grade science class, students created models of simple molecules using gumdrops and toothpicks. The students had so much fun making these models!

Thank you to all the parents and guardians who came out to Wharton's Poetry Cafe on Friday! We hope you had fun making a craft with your student!
K-2nd graders read the book, Rhyming Dust Bunnies.
Students then made their own dust bunny puppet and played Rhyming Dust Bunny Card Game.
3rd-5th graders wrote a bio poem and created a Watercolor Resist with crayons . This was an abstract painting and kids included a black and white photo of themselves in a pose that represents their personalities.
